The new Defense Biometric Identification System (DBIDS) cards will be required for access to Maxwell and Gunter by July 2011. SSgt Joshua Allen, 42nd SFS, Pass and Registration, is the Site Manager for DBIDS.
- Active-duty military, DoD civilians and retirees are given priority registration through February.
- Family members can begin registering in March. According to Sgt Allen, "Members holding a dependent's (military) ID card will not need their sponsor present," however the sponsor must already be registered.
